Capture the Colour in Photos

Here’s a fun way to post some photos that might not otherwise make it into a particular blog posting. Travel Supermarket is running a competition for photographs that capture colours in red, blue, green, yellow and white.  Thanks to Kathryn Burrington of Travel With Kat for posting the link to the competition.  It gave me a chance to browse through my photos, look at them a little differently and select a few that I liked!

Full summer in Madrid.  The Parque de Retiro provides Madrileños with a cooling respite from the intense summer heat.  The greens of the grass and shade trees are reflected in the pool in front of the Palacio de Cristal.

In Sevilla, the Alcazar Real is similar in moorish style to the Alhambra.  Below ground, the water was stored for future use.  The lighting provides the yellow hues.

Against a deep blue, cloudless sky, the Air Force Memorial, three stainless steel spires symbolize the pure white jet streams of planes in the ‘missing man’ formation.
